Hubby hates new haircut?!?!

So I got my haircut last Friday cause with a baby on the way I wanted something short and easily manageable. The stylist knew exactly what I was talking about and did a great job I loved it. I get home and my husband HATES it. Anybody ever been through this before?

What is it with guys and long hair? Just about everyone I've ever dated wanted me to have long hair. I cut mine above the shoulders last year for the first time and my boyfriend at the time just freaked. I was like, I don't tell you how to wear your hair and you don't tell me how to wear mine. Of course, he was a bit of a control freak so there ya go, right?

My guy and I have known one another for about 15 years and when we finally met (as we knew one another online, on the phone, by mail for many of those years) he hated that I had chopped all my hair off before hand. I was living in AZ at the time and having the weather that hot and being into a great deal of skating at the time, my hair was short enough to spike it (and I did), it ended up growing back and this was many moons ago, but he still hates the thought of my hair being short.

Long ago people would relate hair to the woman, more specific long and shiny = fertile, might want to keep that in mind.

I guess I can appreciate the long and shiny equals fertile but I am as big as a house with this baby so I think the fertile part is taken care of. He has come around to liking it a bit more now that I am styling it myself.

Steffi, I am experiencing the same situation as you. Even the guys that I don't date say that long hair is much more beautiful and alluring than short hair.

Maybe having long hair makes us more femme. Don't you think so?

aww man i hate it when that happens!! i hav this really gr8 guy friend nd he saw me at a party once, i had just got a new short haircut and he was all quiet at the party but when i was in a chat room he asked me why i cut my hair!!! i replied that i like short hair and its relaxing nd he got mad. boys, *sigh* cant change 'em.

My husband hates it when I get my hair cut to but I just tell him that it's my hair and I can do what I want with it. I told him that he married me and not my hair and that I don't say anything to him about his falling out. After that he doesn't say anything.

hey its hair it will grow back and plus you get what you want not what your hubby wants, he should understand with the stresss of a baby on the way
