Wedding Attire

I am supposed to go to a friend's wedding this summer and I'm already nervous about what I'm going to wear. What is the general attire for a guest to an outdoor, summer wedding? I always get a little confused about what to wear to a wedding I'm not in!

It would depend on a whole lot of things! You're own preferences, the theme of the wedding, the season's styles. If you go to a wedding that is themed you might seem out of place if you are dressed completely differently. That's fine if you wish to make a statement, otherwise, find out how things are set up.

It's not a themed wedding, and though it's not exactly a black-tie wedding, pretty casual. I've been thinking that a sundress would work, but then again, I'm not sure what colors are appropriate for a summer wedding.
