I Hate Acne!

I was furious and embarrassed by all the acnes that pop up in my face a few days ago. I have tried a few medications that contain benzoyl peroxide and they only aggravate my acne condition.

Nowadays, I rarely go out as I wouldn't want my friends to see my horrible face. I think I am going to see a dermatologist to get my condition treated.

I'm sorry to read that it's getting you down so much!! A dermatologist should certainly be able to advice you on what products are better at treating it. When I was a teenage I used to find that products such as witch hazel, clearisil and the like were too harsh for my skin.

Have you tried sudocrem? I know it's very difficult to get stressed out by it, but as you know the more you stress about it the worse it will get. Also don't be tempted to keep washing your face, as that will also make it worse.

You could also try wearing a light foundation, as there's many that won't clog your pores. I used to find that it would help calm my skin down, plus as it appeared better i felt better.

Just read this...my friend who is an esthesiologist told me that there are only three things that one must do to obtain clear skin. 1)wash 2)tone and 3)moisturize. Washing it will take away all of the gross stuff that builds up on our faces throughout the day. Toning will clean the pores deeper and get rid of the build up that wash alone can't reach. Moisturizing locks it all in and hydrates our skin to keep it from getting dry (as the winter has a tendency to do). When you choose to wear a cover up to cover any blemishes, make sure it is "lightweight" which means it is not hard on the skin and is easy to wash off at the end of the day.
*Try to wash, tone, and moisturize every morning and night. It'll only take 5 at the most

Ugh...I know what ya mean. I have most acne on my forehead(ew) but I regularly wash my face with a facial cleanser and eventually it goes away... I also heard that putting a little toothpaste on ur zit will prevent it from getting bigger and it goes away quicker. U can use any kind of toothpaste.

There is this acne cream that I use called Clean and Clear Persa-Gel 10. I put it on at night and use a white pillow case (it has bleach in it, not a lot). The best part, it is clear so if you put it on before you go somewhere, you can't see it.

This might also help, and it really works because it cleaned up my face. I've been wearing headbands. You could take it of when your temples hurt, or when you go to sleep. It looks like I have a bunch on my face still, but it is jus scars from popping (I'm trying to stop!).

Nat, you wear headbands to keep your bangs outta your face so your acne will dry. It doesn't prevent acne.

Anyways, I have used that Clean and Clear Persa-Gel 10 too, and it isn't for preventing acne. It is for reducing the redness of acne. It, like, bleaches out the red color.

I have never had "acne" before. Just a few pimples here and there. I guess I'll just put down what I use.

1) Wash face with Neutrogena (sp?) or Clean and Clear products. I find those work best.
2) I actually find Stridex pads work best. I haven't had many zits since I started using them! I use the Dual Solutions-it comes with the facial pads and gel. Its a 2-step system. They are great to keep in gym lockers at school, too.
3) After washingyour face, cover it with a little bit of lotion. It'll keepyour skin hydrated and healthy.
4) You can cover up the acne with a light foundation if you are going out somewhere.

Whenever I get my zits, they are usually in the "greasy" areas of my face, like in the creases by your nose or on the forehead/ hairline.

I hope this helps!!

Lys, Clean and Clear Persa 10 doesn't work for you because you don't get as many pimples as I do and other people. I wear my head bands for that reason and the other reason.

You could always splash some warm water in your face (It won't help as much, but it will).

I don't know it might work (haven't done it alot), but maybe eat more foods with Vitamin E in them. I drink Diet Cherry 7 Up.

You could also use in the shower Murad Acne Wash.

Speaking of Stridex pads, personally they don't work for all people. I've tried them like 5 or 6 times and they left redness on my forehead. It itched a lot too. It ended up I had more acne.then I started with.

Thats all I have.

I had really bad acne when I was younger, the best and most effective thing to use is Accutane. It's a pain in the toosh to be on it, but it gives the best results. I was on creams, acne washes, I used everything and nothing worked. Go to your dermatologist and ask about it. It definitely helped me out a lot.
