Eczema

Does anyone here have this condition, how do you treat it. My son has it and he has to bath using emulsifying ointment that doesn't allow his skin to dry out.

I know of this condition, quite a few of my friends children have it, it seems as if many babies are being born with it, it must be something in the prenatal vitamins the women are instructed to take.

My cousins little boy has it and the doctor said it was a form of an allergy, and gave her an ointment also. I have also seen her use cold rags to keep the imflammed areas cool. She mentioned that when he gets overheated, it flares up. Good luck with your son!

Yes that's true, now that it's summer, he is constantly itching, because he is always running around or playing, he does everything conceivable to keep active.

I have two nephews that were born with that condition, I understand that it is an allergy, some eczemas are mild while others are very extreme.

My nephews could not use milk based formulas, they had to use Soya based ones.
They would really itch a lot especially when the time was really hot. Special soaps had to be used to bathe them. I remember a particular soap name Sastid, it comes in a purple box, it was brown in color and had a nice unique smell. It would make them look and feel cool.

My brother actually resorted to using that soap on his face. I think it worked for him.

It seem to have become a common problem all over. I sometimes wonder if it's something that is in the prenatal vitamin tablets that we are required to take to boost our immune system.
