Is homosexuality on the increase...?

Does it seem as if homosexual relationships are on the increase. Jamaicans have a reputation to be very homophobic but I see the signs of this increase all over the place.

No doubt they are getting more prevalent. I have to be true to myself, I am amongst the homophobics.
I am especially that way because some homosexuals at times tend to impose their lifestyle on persons who are heterosexuals.
I really don't like that at all.

Well other than the other occasional time of hearing a guy with that "gay" soft voice call another man "girlfriend" making me "ugh", I really don't pay much attention.

It really is picking up and is almost everywhere now. Growing up you didn't see this on TV like today. I'd prefer not having to see two men kiss, but people are who they are and I don't care to try to change them.

I think it has become an acceptable way of life for many, especially when their close friends and families have crossed over, they have to just love them as they are.

Truly we are seeing this more and more on our television screen and it is becoming generally acceptable. As Gizelle says people will still care for their love ones even though they have crossed over.
Personally I think a few years from now homosexuality will be termed differently as it becomes more accceptable.

My personal view is "to each, his own" as long as they are not breaking the law, or encroaching on anybody else's rights and freedoms. Although I don't agree with the practice, I cannot sanction homophobia either.

Homosexuality is on the increase because a lot of people are finding it to be sort of a new fad. I know there are some actual legitimate homosexuals but at the same time a large percentage of them are just people that say they are gay for attention. It is the same situation with bisexuals. I know several guys and girls who claim to be bisexual just because it's "the cool thing to do" but they never act out on their "orientation."

I kind of agree with Hidden? Yup, its deemed to be a "cool thing to do" but I also think that these days its a little more accceptable, wereas a few years before it was just tolerated. I don't think "a large percentage of them are just looking for attention" though. I thought that was a big generalization but thats all good. Maybe the Bisexual people you know are just Bi-curious? Gotta start somewhere right??

Anyway, I think with the right understanding, talking and a wee bit more of the right exposure we'll be able to see the whole Homo\Hetro situtation with a little less "us and them".

Even though it doesn't really help when people like Madonna and Brittany and Christina get a three way going on stage purely for entertainment.

Talking
… I don't think any gay person woke up and said I wanna be gay so everyone can hate me…People has they’re problem accepting it.... and for me it’s normal.. Though I’m straight I just want to speak out my observation about this coz I have a friend who’s gay…

LOL Definately Meow Kiss! So what if homosexuality is on the increase? We don't need to understand it but we do need to accept it. It's happening and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it.

Coming out is a huge step for anyone. It can alter exsisting friendships and families forever when it doesn't have to.

I just read a womans mag, Ellen and the very sexy Portia are going to have a baby and their wedding photo's are tucked away in the back of the mag? They have a really small pic in corner on the front page? Is Brad and Ange's "baby #7" really bigger news than Ellen and Portia? Hmmm
