Amy Winehouse

I really loved this singer when I first heard "Rehab" on VH1 for the very first time. She has an incredible voice, and I immediately bought her cd when it came out in stores.

Unfortunately, the focus on Amy has changed from what she sings, to what she's doing to herself. It's been in the news and tabloids about her alcohol and drug addictions, and then that video came out, showing her actually high.

She is not having a good time at all.

According to Marketing Magazine, she was voted as the second-most hated personality in the United Kingdom. I don't know if that's true or not, but she's really fallen from top to bottom, and I kind of feel sorry for her.

What do you guys think?

I have been following her story for a while now on another forum and she is getting from bad to worst. She's doing drugs and the people she hangs out with is not helping her at all.

Yes, it is true that Amy is becoming worse. There is nothing more we can do about it but for feeling sorry for her. The same case with Britney as well. Isn't it? People started abusing Britney for her personal life attitudes even though her latest album 'Blackout' was a mega hit! (Not forgetting the songs Gimme more, Break the ice, Radar, and Piece of me).

What I feel is, each and every human that does something wrong in their life will definitely have their own reasons to justify it. Who knows, they might be true for we never have been in their shoes.

Poor Amy, it's a real shame how far she's fallen because of drugs. If she could just see what she's doing to herself and get rid of those 'friends' who hang round her like leeches (Pete Dougherty for one) making it impossible for her to think rationally.

With a huge talent like hers I do hope she gets through this. I see now that the docs say she has emphysema which has been caused by her using crack cocaine and smoking tobacco. Emphysema is a hardening of the lung and apparently she now only how only about 30 per cent capacity.

Of course, the newspapers love it that she's fallen so low and grab at any opportunity to show her at her worst. If she ever gets clean I hope they will congratulate her and support her rather than lose interest.

Wow Goldie, that bottom picture is absolutely horrible. I had to look at it again 3 times to even see a relation between the pic above at all. Poor Amy. I too hope that she does get better. She had a promising future when she started to get popular not only in the UK, but in America as well. To see it start dwindling away into nothing more than Tabloid news is just awful.

I've always thought that Amy had a gorgeous voice, but for some reason she just can't be famous and keep safe. I feel bad for the girl, she was beautiful before. Now she looks so bad that I can't help but feel bad for her.

I just don't understand it. A beautifully talented artist that would do that to herself. She had a great career ahead of her and now look. I agree with GoldieShocks and hope that "when" she gets the help she needs, everyone will say good job.

Her life is serving as an example to not only young actors or singers who are becoming famous, but for us normal people of how much other persons' influence can adversely affect our lives.

I never liked her as a singer but it is a shame how she is doing drugs. I don't get why people work so hard to get to the top and then just completely mess things up because of stupid friends who are not really her friends for letting her success go down the drain. They should be stopping her taking drugs, not joining her or leading her on to take them.

I'm so sorry for her. I hardly ever shed a tear for these celebrities who seem to have more money than brain matter but I have to stop and wonder what could have led Amy to this so quickly. I just hope she recovers.
