Default Oil Prices in the US!

That's a big one plaguing America lately! There's been talk that when the prices go as high as 5 dollars for gasoline, the economy will just crumble completely. Me, I don't know too much about that, but it is quite a hassle to drive to and from my college which is four hours away, which ends up being over one hundred dollars to go back and forth between the two.

I agree with you Dina. I'm wondering how in the world I'm going to be able to afford to come home on breaks. And from hearing everyone talk, there is not going to be an relief anytime soon. It has driven everything up. I picked up a gallon of milk yesterday and it was $4.95.

Girls, trust me when I say it is not the only problem in US but also here in India. We been struggling a lot for our transport services. Neither cars nor the cab services are available here for us due to the fuel crisis. The only mode of transport we had was the government buses.

It's horrible that our mode of transportation, not only for the U.S., but for other countries as well is being crippled so badly.

Technically, I figure the best shot we have anymore is through the further development of electric, hydrogen, water-powered, and solar-powered cars. Unfortunately, even from an environmental standpoint, it doesn't look to be going too well.

I read an article a few months ago about Hydrogen cars. They are environmentally-friendly, and there is a better source to use for it since air is pretty plentiful, but new stations for fueling hydrogen cars need to be built, and they aren't as efficient as gasoline, only offering about 1/4 of the mileage that you can get from a gallon of gas.

It's pretty sucky.

I live in Jamaica and it's a similar crisis where the gas is concerned, some vehicles use diesel, but the price is almost the same as the gas, public transportation cost is on the increase.

The fuel crisis had finally come to an end in my state now I read almost lots of articles on all the newspapers talking about the advantages of cars running on Gas. It's good but who knows when their costs are also gonna have a raise!

It is really getting out of hand now. I could get one of those tiny little "smart cars" but it looks about as safe as a go-kart! Maybe I'll take a class in syphoning gas

The Florida State Lotto is having a special game where you can win gas for a year or gas for life. Of course If I won the gas for life, I'd take the cash option as I'm too greedy

In reality though, I haven't been driving any less than when it was 2.00/Gallon, so it's not boding well for my pocket book. Not sure what will happen but hopefully something soon.

I hope their solution is not another one of those stimulus checks because mine was only enough to buy me more clothes and shoes!

It's time to stop worrying about profits and make a car that runs on water. That way I can just fill up with the old garden hose

The fuel crisis goes well beyond the borders of the uS. Here in Jamaica, the cheapest gas, 87, is going for about $85 per litre, and increasing every week. Worst yet is the ripple effect rising gas prices on the cost of everything else.

The gas prices seem to be crippling economies all over the world, it seem as if no one is spared. When is all this going to end, how will we fare out?

We are going to get some relief soon. I read yesterday at a news source the government is close to passing a bill into law that will curb oil speculation, and they are close to an intervention point to stop the decline of the dollar. These two actors are what has caused priced to skyrocket in the past 2 years.
