Long Distance Relationships

Just as an opener, I have been going out with my boyfriend for almost 2 years and we've been through this long distance relationship most of the time. I wouldn't say its a really LONG distance like another state, but we do live like 60-70 miles away from each other. We went to the same high school but I moved for college. He works and goes to school most of the time and sometimes its hard to talk to him. I am also trying to focus on school and try to get into med school but its hard with a long distance relationship. Like when we get into arguments during finals week, I wouldn't be able to study because I'm soo frustrated. I really love him and I would like to spend the rest of my life with him but when he's not at work or at school he's with his friends. I don't mind that sometimes because he needs to hang out with his friends once in a while but sometimes a girl needs her time with her man.

I don't know, but I was wondering how you guys would handle a long distance relationship (communicating and keeping it strong)

Long distance relationships are tricky, and I guess some people handle them better than others. Personally I've only ever had one and it was an absolute disaster, he was very immature though.

I think they can work if you both know the score, but you both have to put a lot of effort in and be willing to compromise.

Good luck with it all hun, hopefully the other girls will be able to give you some advice x

It's really hard to maintain a long distance relationship. One way relationship is another thing. But if you do love each other, sacrifice is the right word for it. But personally, i don't enjoy and believe having a relation on the other side of the earth. Because who knows what would happen tomorrow or in the next few days, not seeing each other regularly is not a healthy one. But if you're destined with each other..no matter what happens..you'll end as one. Meantime..try to observe if your boyfriend really cares for you. Because you might ending up into a one way relationship. I mean..you care and love him so much but what about him? Did he find quality time talking with you?...try to calculate things mate...Love yourself too!
