When a beloved pet dies...

My dog is still alive, but she's old...she carries a really bad limp nowadays, is deaf and partially blind, and is starting to forget that it's bad to pee on the carpet.

Each day she gets worse and worse, and it's inevitable that she is not going to make it to Christmas unless a miracle happens.

I just want to know if you guys have any stories about your animals. I could use some support. I had my dog since I was five years old, and she's been my one and only pet.

but have you visit the Veterinarian??!.. he may help her!! .. maybe she have a disease

Thats so sad. I had my Rotti for 9 years before we had to put him down. I was so upset and took the day off school. The vet came to the house and put him down in front of my parents and I so we could say our goodbyes. It hurt for a long time and it still makes me sad thinking about him now.. But thats life. We gotta suck it up right?

I know we are talking about dogs here but my cat had kidney problems and she was dieing very slowly. We took her down to the vet and they put her down, I was trying so hard not to cry but i couldn't help it. :'(

I had two rabbits... they both died

the only way to get over theise things is not to get into a deep friendship with a pet... like most parents dose...

but 4 me this is not possible

Oh so sad!! My father in law's dog died today... My father in law is 72 years old and he really loved his old dog. On cold mornings he would cook, what he called 'dog porridge' for his dog. Every Easter he'd buy Jake (the dog) a six pack of hot cross buns..

Last week the silly old dog walked down the road to the city pound... He must have known he was sick and didn't want to die at home?? Well thats what the father in law said?? He's really heartbroken

This is what i was told by someone. "There is no point of getting a pet. Because, if you get a pet all you will end up with is tears in the next few years..."
