Sibling Rivalry

How do you get along with your siblings now, is it any better than when you were kids. As a child I fought with my siblings but as we got older we got closer.

Awww! That is sweet I tell you what, little cute quarrels between the siblings (when they are kids) is not a new thing. Moreover, it is fun. Life would be boring if you have a brother or sister and never quarrel with them. Once when you are grown up, reminiscing about your childhood quarrels will surely make you laugh.

Well, I am the only spoilt kid for my parents. Even though, I have cousin sisters and brothers, I always have felt that "gap". You are lucky in that way, Gizelle. How old are you and your siblings now, if I can ask?

i hv brother n sister, i like being with them, but now im not living with them...i like fighting and arguing something silly with them....however, when we get older(though im not old now, just 17) somtimes when we argue for some serious issue...it feels really bad n hurt....

Well, I have a total of 11 brothers and sisters. They are all either half or step siblings though. We didn't get along much when I was a kid, but now that I'm 18, I have learned to get along with them all. I think there was a lot of jealousy when we were younger because I was the oldest, and considered the "good one".

We are all in our 30's now, most of us have our own families with kids, we talk on a regular basis and the kids even though they are very young (ages 2-3) talk to each other over the phone.

It's great when siblings get on together. When siblings are close it is a comfort to their parents that at least they'll have each other once they've 'gone' (if you know what I mean!)

I have two kids and as children they were very close but now they are grown they've married people from different parts of the world. My daughter lives in the States (I live in the UK) and my son lives in Australia. Sadly, despite the fact they love to talk to each other when one or the other phones occasionally, I can see that their lives are spiralling away from each other as their different lives (and times zones) get in the way.

I hope one day they'll reconnect - and I thank God for the internet and emails - but hey, when you are young and have your siblings around you, enjoy every moment whilst you can!

Me and my sister are very close, we talk almost every day. Whilst I speak much less to my brother, we are stil pretty close. I think now that we have grown up and matured, we are much closer than when we were kids

I have a brother. We are very close. We work at the same place and live 2 minutes away from each other. Our parents taught us that their is no one else in the world that has the same mix of my mum and dad's blood and for that reason we need to look after each other and respect one another.
