Moms do not sleep

Its taken me years to realize this but it seems once you become Mom your sleep is gone forever. I am still working to get over my cold but I have not slept well the past two nights so last night I did not even bother. I have still gotten tons done today and its not even 6am yet. I do hope by this weekend I can kick this nasty and start enjoying some down time though, even without sleep we Moms get tired.

Oh I know what you mean hun, my daughter is almost 6 and I still don't get much sleep half the time! I'm either up early with her or awake till late when she 'can't sleep' lol. Maybe when she's a teenager and starts sleeping in till mid-day I might get some rest lol.

That's true .
My mom and I are always up! She doesn't sleep so much. Even if she sleeps ,she'll wake up after 3-4 hours. But it's because of the Blood Pressure she has.

All I advice is - Stay healthy and eat right. Whether you sleep well or not ;-)

I am so excited!!! I actually got 8 hours of sleep last night and 5 of them were in a row...with no crying, no getting up for a feeding or a diaper change. I feel great!

The sleep is decent amounts but not decent sleep. I swear if my nose does not stop being dumb today I am going to chop it off and throw it away. Who wants a stuffed up nose anyways right?

Lol, I am getting a little more sleep than I was getting when my son was newborn, but even as I write this, I am very sleepy , my eyes hurt. I am going to go get some sleep now.

I bet sleep is the thing that most women will miss when they have children as having children is not just the process of bearing them for 9 months but also countless time spent to raise them.

It is for me. I was one of those give me my sleep or I will bite your head off any hour of the day when I wake up. I have managed working days, mid days, nights and swing with a newborn before, nothing can be more trying on ones sanity.

Ah yes, I get where you are coming from...I like to tell people that a) sleep is over rated, and b) I haven't slept since 1983 when my first child was born. The beauty of being a parent is when you get to go into your 16 year old son's room (who NEVER napped as a baby) and yell at him for the 3rd time to wake up because he's overslept AGAIN! Such revenge!
