Parents

What kind of relationship do you have with your parents? Do they live close by or far away, in another state? Is there anything you would change about your relationship?

I have a great relationship with my parents but they live 14 hours away which is pretty hard. There were a few years there that were a bit rough with mum when I was a teenager but I think that's pretty normal.

It took a long time but I have a decent relationship with my mother now. It took many years of learning how to set boundaries and enforce them, though. I don't see or have any relationship whatsoever with my father - the classic deadbeat dad.

When we were under each other's feet we had a horrible relationship. I moved a couple of hundred miles away and things got better. Finally I moved five thousand miles away and things were good.

Our relationship, though long distance, is great now that we are our from under each other's feet.

I have a perfect relationship with my parents. Thank god I don't stay very far from them. If not, I will miss them a lot. I can say that we get along extremely well. I just hope that my hubby won't get too jealous as I spend quite a lot of time with them.

I wonder if my mom had you post this question . Quite frankly my parents and I don't get along very well. They say I'm too rebellious - and I'd freely admit that there's more than a smattering of truth in that. We don't live very far from each other but far enough that we don't just drop in on each other easily.
