Google Still Growing

I was reading an article about google, apparently they are still growing and getting more of the search market in the US. They say that they now have 63.5 percent of the US search market, and that is up from 58.5 percent last year!

here is the original article : Google Gobbled Up 90 Percent Of All U.S. Search Growth In 2008

It seems that other search engines will never catch up with Google. This makes me pondered whether other search engines will vanish from the net as one day Google will be the only search engine that people used and render other search engines lying idle.

That would not really surprise me, I have seen stranger things happen in my time. I am just waiting for there to be a monopoly court hearing for google, I mean how many times did they yank Microsoft into court?

You're right-Google needs to watch itself with all these phones, and all the other products they are releasing. They are just asking for a monopoly commission beating.

I love Google, though. Not just the search engine but all the different tools and applications they have available. Gmail is one of my favorites as I use that all the time. I don't think anyone could prosecute for being a monopoly as they are not forcing anyone else out of business - they are simply continuing to grow their business.

I love them too but they could go too far eventually. I know that Microsoft got into trouble because of bundling software together, but then Google kind of does that too. All in the same interface is Gmail, their documents thing, GChat, and a dozen or more different things!

Well it IS true....almost all of use Google as our "reliable" search engine and thats right, cuz Google always finds what we r searchin for. It also shows us new websites.....I prefer Google as my search engine.
