Well, the inauguration is coming up really soon. Are you planning on watching?

What kind of impact do you think that Obama will have on the nation?

I am hoping that he will have a unifying effect on the race issue. At least some people who were vaguely racist should see that we're all the same under the skin. I would also like to hope that he will bring a bit of sense to Washington's budget but that remains to be seen.

It DC gets sense, I am going to grow a 3rd arm.

Really now, that is going to take a lot of work there but it could be possible I just know its going to be a beast to try and get done. Hes got a ton on his plate, you know its not like Bush cleared his own plate before leaving the table or anything.....Obama will need to walk in, clear all the plates, wipe down the table, and get some air freshener going on in the room after all the shit that Bush has left everyone with.

I totally agree with you Beanie. I'm one of those people that will just have to wait and see how he can help us, if at all. If he can pull it off than it will be nothing short of a miracle. I mean really, can things get any worse than they already are?

I watched the inauguration today and I was pleased. I'm proud to have Obama as a president. I don't think that he can work miracles, but I have a lot of faith that he will try. He seems so much more genuine than other politicians, and unlike some of those in the past, he doesn't seem to want to limit the freedoms of those he disagrees with.

I think Obama understands the size of the problem and I think that it's important so that he does not underestimate the enormity of his task ahead. Thdre's no way that he can do it alone, so I hope he has chosen the best people to help him.
