John's Travolta loses son

My heart goes out to John and Kelly with the tragedy of losing their 16-year old son, Jett. Apparently he had a seizure in the bathroom and hit is head on the tub when he fell. They're doing an autopsy and then they will fly his body home to Florida for a funeral.

I heard about this over the weekend and yes it is quite sad. I really had thought his son was older than that too. Losing a child is always hard but I am sure its even harder around the holiday time.

It's really sad. It's hard to lose your child, especially at such a young age, and under circumstances as described. I really hope they will draw on their inner strengths to weather this chapter.

I saw this the other day and it is very sad to lose a child. No parent should have to bury their child no matter what. I don't know all the details of his medical condition so I can't really comment on that I feel for John and Kelly and their daughter.

I feel the same as everyone else here. What surprises me is John's son is so young and passed away in such an unexpected way. When I initially heard the news, I thought his son was involved in a car accident.

This was very tragic, but it sounded like he knew that his son was not healthy for some time. I would imagine that this would only make it harder, knowing that this was coming and just having to wait it out.

I feel so bad for him and his family. I know how much he loved his son and the connection they both had with each other. His son looked a lot like him which makes it even creepier. I can only hope they can come together and get through this tough time.

I heard about this a few days ago and it made me sad. No matter what medical issues the kid had, this was not expected. I know a lot of people are jumping on the family about undiagnosed and untreated issues the boy had, but it's really not the time for that. I think the family deserves some peace after such a horrific incident.

I feel for any parent who loses a child, but when you lose a child in the public eye then you don't even get a chance to grieve properly. This must be awful for them.
