Harry Potter Books

Have you read about the Harry potter book series? They are written by JK Rowling; an ordinary housewife who become a millionaire after writing those books.

What do you think of the wizardry materials in the books? Interesting, isn't it?

I have never read any of the books but I have been a long time fan of the movies. I think that they are a very whimsical and fun series of movies and I will continue to watch them.

The books are amazing. Like mega mega amazing!
They're not known for being incredibly well written, but I think they're fantastic.
I cried reading the last two because I just got so involved in the story

I haaaateee HP. And I don't get this Harry Potter craze. Some dumb kid wizard with weird magical powers. Read the first few books and watched the movies. Waste of time..

I like the books because I'm in to fantasy but I don't think they're particularly great in comparison to any other books and don't understand the publicity they get. Hate the films though.

Love the books, hate the films. Most films made out of good books suck, and sucky books make good films. The irony.

Yup! Read every single book the moment it came out.

My ex even lined up for the last book! Hehehehehe...

I love it! Movie's don't do it justice! :P

I didn't read any books or see any of the movies until after "Order of the Phoenix" came out. I finally couldn't resist, as I was hearing that adults were enjoying the books and they love how their kids were eating them up.

I'm a huge fan. I do like the books better, but films are a different medium and can't really do a book justice.

My favorite book and movie is "Prisoner of Azkaban".

The films are ok...but not a patch on the books. As with most books made into films they have to cut so much out!!

I found HP quite late - think it was when there was all the hysteria on the news about the new book coming out then I wondered what this Harry Potter was that everyone was going mad for - think it was about the 4th one. I went to the library and borrowed them. I enjoyed the books quite a lot and was surprised how much they cut out for the films. I enjoy the films if I can seperate them from the books (otherwise it's just annoying how much they did chop) Looking forward to seeing how they turn the last two books into the films.

Twilight is now getting the same critisism about the writing but I thoroughly enjoyed the first one and can't wait to see the film and read the rest of the books. Personally I can't stand book snobs! Read what you like and be done with - let the rest of us do the same
